- 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1-inch ginger, grated or finely chopped
- 3-4 garlic cloves, grated or finely chopped
- 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped for garnishing
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add grated ginger and garlic, and chopped green chilies (if using). Sauté for a minute.
- Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
- Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
- Add green peas and paneer cubes. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add water and salt to taste. Mix well and cover the pan. Cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the curry thickens and the peas are cooked.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
